Experts in major vascular surgery
Drs. Lange and Wong have many years of
experience in major arterial reconstruction. They perform classic
open
procedures—such as endarterectomy, aneurysm repair,
bypass grafting and embolectomy—as well as endovascular
interventions, including endoluminal stent grafting, balloon
angioplasty and stenting.
Because of their skill and experience with a vast array of
interventions, you can be confident that they will select
the best procedure for you. More importantly, their deep knowledge
of the natural history of peripheral vascular disease enables
them to determine when conservative treatment is more appropriate
than surgical intervention.
Drs. Wong and Lange often work in conjunction with their
colleagues in Interventional Radiology, who provide state-of-the-art
diagnostic
imaging, such as digital angiography, three-dimensional
CT angiography and enhanced MR angiography, as well as lytic
therapy, balloon angioplasty and stenting.
In the rare case when a more specialized surgical technique
is indicated, Vascular Associates will refer you to a
nationally recognized expert.

The Vein Clinic for up-to-date treatment of varicose veins During their years in practice, Drs. Lange and Wong have
treated thousands of patients, performed hundreds of operations
to
remove varicose veins or heal stasis ulcers, and used duplex
ultrasound to non-invasively map out the source of the problem
and determine the best course of treatment.
Today’s technology allows The Vein Clinic at Vascular
Associates, P.S. to avoid surgery altogether when treating
varicose veins. The advent of endovenous laser ablation,
performed under local anesthesia in the office, has
eliminated
any need for surgical ligation and stripping of the long
saphenous vein. Endovenous ablation has been shown to be safer
and at
least as effective as traditional surgery, and avoids the
need for major anesthesia and use of a surgical facility. You
benefit
from dramatic reductions in pain, personal down time and
loss of productivity, compared to surgical treatment.
Following long saphenous vein ablation, Drs. Wong and Lange
use advanced sclerotherapy techniques to treat any unwanted
varicosities that remain. The Vein Clinic at Vascular Associates,
P.S. offers ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy as well as light-assisted
and surface sclerotherapy. For most patients, a pleasing
cosmetic result is achieved in just two or three sessions.
The unique combination of training and experience, state-of-the-art
diagnosis and minimally invasive in-office treatment
makes The Vein Clinic the first choice in the Pacific Northwest
for medically indicated and cosmetic treatment of venous
conditions.
